Ah ha so you know Chris L, eh. I will have to mention that. So yeh The E-Myth is good stuff. So glad I read that before I started my own business. It really put me in the right frame of mind. Good luck updating your vision doc. Be sure to share it with me and others once you are ready.

Hey, Ryan,
An awesome post. I am currently reading The E-Myth Mastery (since my copy of EMyth Revisited is highlighted and dog-eared), and just got to the chapter on the written business plan. Ugh. Yes, I did a written business plan in 2004 when I started my first business, and now I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself to have an updated version for my current business. I think the framework of the vision document will be a great springboard for me. Thank you for sharing! (And please say Hi to Chris from me! ;-))

Home Depot is now using QR codes for how-to videos, demos, accessories, buying guides and project guides. It'll be interesting to see how other big brands follow suit. I'm on the fence as to whether QR codes will stick around--not because they're not valuable, but because I think someone is going to come up with something even better.

I have to say, I'm enjoying seeing how many different uses there are for QR codes and what different companies are doing with them.

Here's the link to the article on Home Depot: http://www.marketingprofs.com/short-articles/2300/put-content-in-unexpected-places-qr-shopping-social-vending#ixzz1P0jVZXRO

We have a running argument in the office as to whether or not the codes will ever become wide spread in their use. I think they will, while Allison, thinks the operational support in the companies is just not there yet.

This will be a topic we need to return to again and again to see how things change. thanks for the mention.
